WHO DO WE SERVE?

Adults

Many adults live with mental health concerns. However, it does not mean that your life can not be everything that you want! You can get well and stay well. Mission Minded Recovery Inc. offers a safe place for people to recover and live their lives out loud. Through our evidence-based peer support programs you will learn about Intentional Peer Support and a life of "moving toward". Mutuality, focus on relationships and Co-learning; instead of helping and Hope vs Fear, we learn and grow together at Mission Minded Recovery.

WHO DO WE SERVE?

Young Adults

Our Youth Engagement Program ( also known as YEP)  pairs young adults ages 18-26 with a young adult Certified Peer Specialist who acts as a mentor and models recovery. Young adults can learn about self-advocacy, self-direction, and self-care while also creating and using the Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP), Whole Health Action Management (WHAM),  Resume-Building Skills, Early Intervention Program,  Problem Solving, Financial Literacy, and Computer skills through a strengths-based approach. Young adults will also participate in Acts of Service to strengthen their community in Douglas County.

WHO DO WE SERVE?

Returning Citizens

23% of Georgia's prison population has a mental illness. People with behavioral health needs are overrepresented in local criminal justice systems across the country and in Georgia. Currently, Georgia has 183 jails, able to hold 49,037 men and women. When people are released from the judicial system they need additional supports to thrive in the community and reduce recidivism. There are 44,000 collateral consequences that returning citizens face, upon returning home.

WHO DO WE SERVE?

Veterans

The most publicized mental health challenges facing veteran service members are PTSD and depression. Some research suggests that approximately 14% to 16% of U.S.  service members deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq have PTSD or Depression. Mission Minded Recovery Inc. has " Boots on the Ground", we will be with you in recovery.

WHO DO WE SERVE?

Parents

When a parent finds out their child lives with a mental illness there is a flood of emotions. A sigh of relief that explains all that has been happening, sadness, and fear of not knowing what the child's future will look like. Parents need support too. We hear you parents! Your adult child can recover and live a meaningful and fulfilling life.
